Nzmarket Solar-Powered Ultrasonic Bird & Pest Repeller

Tried everything else first - netting, sprays, you name it. This ultrasonic unit finally keeps them away from my feijoa tree.

Comes with a basic ground stake but I ended up buying a proper mounting bracket for better positioning. Performance is top notch though.

Strong northerlies seem to reduce the effectiveness slightly - probably the ultrasonic waves getting scattered. Still works most of the time though.

Ground spike works fine in soft soil but struggled to get it secure in our clay. Might need to cement it in for permanent installation.

Had to figure out the sensitivity settings by trial and error - manual wasn't much help. Performance is excellent once you get it dialled in right.

Takes some trial and error to get the angle right for maximum coverage. Once sorted though, it keeps the rabbits away from my brassicas beautifully.

Delivery took nearly two weeks which was frustrating. Birds have definitely reduced around my fruit trees though, so can't complain about the actual performance.

Definitely keeps the smaller birds away from my berry bushes but the tui and kereru don't seem bothered by it at all.

Didn't notice much difference in the first few days but after about a week the blackbirds started avoiding my blueberry bushes. Patience required.
